Hudson House and Fireplaces
Just a few shopping days until Christmas. You know, the other night, the night of the big storm, I decided to venture out into the white-out conditions, and find a cozy place to have dinner. After much back and forth in my head, I decided to go visit Matt Hudson at Hudson House in Nyack. Jose at the bar recommended the cheddar cheese wheat stout soup, and I decided on my own to have the braised short ribs. Bottom line? I had one of the best dinners I’ve ever had! This isn’t a restaurant review, per se, but I just had to tell you how happy I was with this meal. It was an experience! Seriously.
Justin, my co-owner is in the office today working on and sharpening our blogging skills. As you may know Justin Tracy is the pre-eminent source for all things internet, all things tech, all things cool (we’ll talk about that another time) We understand the need to have relevant and current information on our blogs, and why they’re important. We’re going to have about 6 or 7 of our agents write once or twice a week about things real estate and non real estate, but interesting.
I’m a lucky guy to work in an office where there is a working fireplace. Usually have real wood stored behind the building, and I make a wood fire. Well, the wood got rotten over the last Summer season, so it’s trash now. I went to a convenience store to buy a “duraflame” log (which I’m not crazy about but it’s better than no fire) and it was really expensive to buy by the single log. I went over to “Herb Lack” on Main St, and Lenny told me that an entire box was about $20. What a deal!
New listings are trickling in these past few days at a VERY slow rate. Ditto with sales, but we anticipate that after the first of the year things are going to “pop” Rates are really, really low - think about buying, you’ll get a good deal and great financing options are out there for you
