Home Sales in New City- week of 7/20/09-7/24/09

Hi everyone,

Just to add to Adam’s blog last week of closed sales in Rockland, I thought I would look specifically at New City. I think what I am about to tell you all will not only surprise you, but make you feel a little bit more comfortable about the real estate market in New City. Last week, New City had 4 closed sales on single family homes. OK, that’s pretty good, but that’s not what is so great. What’s great is that of those 4 sales, one sale was only on the market for 23 days, and sold for $10,000 over the list price, another was on the marker for only 1 day and sold for $3,000 under list price, and yet another sold for about 8.5% below list price with it being on the market for only 6 days. Now isn’t that exciting news about our local real estate market? So, if you’re thinking of selling you home, this is the time to do it.
