Haverstraw International Food Walk 2009

Good evening my fellow online friends, how are you tonight!!!

On Saturday night, June 27th 2009, the Village of Haverstraw hosted its first ever International Food Walk. Participating restaurants had outside seating on Main Street and Broadway which was great to see and had specials and sample plates so patrons were able to get a taste of the different cuisines. In this vlog, you will see that I visited Union Bar Latino Restaurant (Latino Fusion), The Big Red Tomato (Mexican/Italian), Cuchifrito La Boriquena (Puerto Rican), Las Cascada (Ecuadorian) and Off the Hook (American). This event was made possible by the Arts Alliance of Haverstraw’s executive director, Anthony Accomando and the Greater Haverstraw Chamber of Commerce.

In the past 4 plus years I’ve been living in Haverstraw, this was one of the greatest nights that I can remember. I do these blogs to try to reach out to as many people as possible to show them that the Village is safe, vibrant, eclectic and gorgeous on many levels.
