Harbors at Haverstraw: Rents on Me!

It’s me, Adam Stein, resident broker at the Harbors at Haverstraw.

Thats right, 2000 working email addresses of my own potential customers in addition to the 18,000 users signed up at the Wright Bros. home page (www.wrightinnyack.com) that are ready to look at your home if you list with me!

I have some information on all the rental units currently available down here on the widest, most scenic part of the Hudson. I say that from experience, meaning that I used live in a Nyack river view home for years before moving here to The Harbors at Haverstraw in February 2006 (Happy 3 year anniversary). In Nyack, the view of the Hudson river is mostly crowded up by the Tappan Zee Bridge (although nice when lit up at night) however in “The Straw”, as we call it, the view across the Hudson is completely unobstructed and you can see across to northern Westchester which is mainly gorgeous rolling hills.

Anyway, let me talk to you today about renting a unit at the Harbors. First off, if you are a pet owner and want to rent here, STOP reading. Our HOA does not allow renters to have pets however, if you are renting with an option to purchase the rules can be bent a little but, you didn’t here that from me ;), jk…

Ok, now most people that look to rent an apartment in Rockland look in either Pearl River, Suffern or Nyack because of the cute downtown’s where you can walk to pubs, restaurants and shopping. I just did a quick search on the Greater Hudson Valley MLS to see what the average price for a 1 bedroom rental would be in Nyack. They range from $1,825 at the brand new Adare on Main Street to around $1,300 for a second floor walkup in someone else’s old home and on the lower end, $1,050 for a small apartment on High Ave, which is near the Thruway.

I pointed out these statistics before I show you how “cheap” it is to rent at The Harbors for a reason. Lets compare, at The Harbors, not only do you get a brand new condo with luxurious finishing’s but, you also get full access to all the amenities which cost us homeowners anywhere from $250 a month to $500. Those amenities are two outdoor heated pools, state of the art gym, clubhouse with game room and lounge, movie theatre, blah blah blah, you know the drill by now and if you don’t you need to get out of the house more often.

My point is that you should HIGHLY consider renting a unit here if you are young or old, single or married, private or a partier, etc. Why live in an old home to be close to Nyack when you get a bachelor’s pad and be within 7 miles of Nyack, I bet you didn’t realize Haverstraw was that close to the village!

One final note, before I give you the 12 current rentals on the market, I would be remissed not to tell you this little ditty about a young man named Adam who found the love of his life and fiance, Heather, down here at The Harbors! Thats right, we are the 1st couple to meet at the Harbors in Haverstraw and get married, now I can’t promise you the same luck but I can tell you they’re a lot of people looking for love as well as people looking to have fun!
