About
A beautiful hamlet restoration project was completed about two years ago, the centerpeice being the renovated Congers Station Park, on the site of an abandoned Railway Station. The train still goes by, but only for freight these days. The small shopping area features some great eateries and even a real true “unspoiled pub” known as ‘The Last Chance Saloon”, owned by the well known Travaglini’s. Routes 303 and 9W are commercial and home to some of the area’s best warehouse/flex space. Also there are great restaurants along these routes as well. Rockland Lake State Park is a gem of the area. Every morning you can find health enthusiasts walking, jogging or cycling around the 3 and 5 mile circles. Thousands of weekend visitors take advantage of this Special place. Congers has many 1920’s houses and 1960’s subdivisions as well as new construction.
