Bald Eagles in West Nyack today!
Good news from The Good News Blogger - You can see numerous bald eagles at the West Nyack Shoprite! For several weeks bald eagles have been frolicking in the marshy woodlands to the South and West of the parking lot. They are very easily seen (no leaves on the trees). If you have a good camera you can get some wonderful photos or videos, would be great to show to your kids too!

I had the absolute privilege of being startled by an Eagle in flight at the Shop Rite today. Just brilliant. I am however concerned about something that I’m trained to look for in my job. To the immediate East it appears that they are filling in the swampland. There was a bulldozer, a work crew and alot of fresh dirt when I was there today. They are obviously obliterating a natural environment that is attracting an endangered and revered species. That is just flat illegal and hopefully some politician somewhere in that district does something quickly. Better yet, a vocal conservation group.
