A new New City??

Hey New City residence, did you see the old Friendly’s? (ok, so I do know that it was sometime else, but I just don’t remember what) It is now Starbucks and Quisnos!! They did a nice job renovating the place, they even have outside seating for those who want to sip their coffee outside on nice days. Well, maybe we have to wait until the spring for that, but it will be nice. Did you also see that Bradlees is finally gone? And the Pizza Hut building has been gone for a while. I am sure that the new construction will make a great improvement. Anything is better than vacant buildings. I think New City is really trying to look nicer. I know a few years back I completed an on line survey about the types of shops I would like to see in the area. If we had stores like “Tice Farm” in NJ, I think that would be successful here. You could run into town for something, instead of going to the mall. I hope that isn’t just wishful thinking on my part. Anyway, revitalizing down town New City, will benefit us all. The nicer our community looks, the more people will want to live here. The more people that want to live here, the more our home values go up, and that sounds really good to me.
